1. Overview
We want you to be satisfied with every book you order from The Merdeka Times Shop. This policy explains when you may return an item, and how refunds are processed.
2. Eligibility for return
You may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order if:
- the item arrived damaged or defective;
- you received the wrong item; or
- the item is materially different from its description.
Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging, unused and undamaged.
3. Non-returnable items
- Items damaged through misuse or normal wear after delivery.
- Digital or downloadable products once they have been accessed.
- Items returned more than 7 days after delivery without prior approval.
4. How to request a return
Email admin@themerdekatimes.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs where the item is damaged or incorrect. We will respond within 3 business days with return instructions.
Please do not send any item back before you have received return instructions from us.
5. Return shipping
- If the item is damaged, defective or incorrect, we cover the return postage.
- For any other approved return, return postage is borne by the customer.
6. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect the returned item we will notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 business days.
Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take a few further business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
7. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before they are dispatched. Please email us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel.
